Now, here's the really cool thing — MapleSim takes your data and, using the Maple symbolic math engine, derives the model's equations automatically. This saves you a ton of time and reduces manual math errors. As a bonus, you can embed the model into a Maple worksheet, where you can analyze and document it to your heart's content. Double bonus: Because the components look real, your model resembles the real world rather than the messy sort of thing that makes you stop to decipher later on. Desktop Engineering
Even a cursory reading of the examples in the Getting Started Guide (in Maple) will demonstrate the lengths that the developers have gone through to assist the novice with every imaginable task. .. I was able to solve many frustrating problems within minutes by using the full range of supports…. Did I neglect to mention that Maple does much more than fancy graphics? The lie algebras section under Differential Geometry was breathtaking (I know I was choked up!). From the new user roadmap to the minutiae of theoretical mathematics, it’s all here. MapleSim is fantastic. Its representation looks better. Students and scientists alike are more at home with the acausal representation of a circuit, and find it easier to pick up. Dr. Stephen Lynch, Professor, Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK
In comparison with others, Maple can do in a couple of hours what other software can take days to compute. The natural math notation allows me to enter the equations as if I were writing them by hand. The fact that I can do symbolic calculations allows me to do optimizations that are virtually impossible with other software. What's more, the results are extremely accurate.
